My background is in psychology, which turns out to be unusually useful for the part of technical leadership nobody trains you for: how people decide, how teams avoid the obvious conversation, and why the same incident keeps happening in a different costume.
The Diary of a CTO is where I keep the honest version. It combines 37 long-form pieces with 21 recorded conversations with CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and founders. The focus is always the same: what actually happens inside engineering organisations — AI adoption that survives contact with production, platform investment that pays back, and leadership decisions made with incomplete information.
